Rydoza ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Rydoza mobile application (the "App"), which connects passengers with nearby drivers for ride-booking services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using Rydoza, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
• Profile Picture (Optional): If you choose to add a profile photo, it is stored and associated with your account.

2.2 Location Information

Precise Location (Foreground): We collect your device's GPS location while the app is in use, to:

• Display your current position on the map.
• Match you with nearby available drivers.
• Provide real-time trip tracking and route navigation during an active ride.

We do not collect your location in the background when the app is closed or not in active use.

2.3 Trip Information

• Pickup and destination addresses and coordinates.
• Trip distance, duration, and estimated/final fare.
• Trip status and history (date, route, fare amount).

2.4 Camera and Photo Library Access

If you choose to update your profile picture, the app requests access to your device's camera or photo library solely for that purpose. No images are accessed or uploaded without your explicit action.

2.5 Automatically Collected Information

Device identifiers, app version, and basic diagnostic/crash data used to maintain app stability and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Create and manage your user account.
• Match you with nearby drivers and facilitate ride requests.
• Display live location and navigation during trips.
• Maintain your trip history.
• Provide customer support.
• Improve app performance and reliability.

4. Payments

Rydoza does not process, store, or handle any payments, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. All ride fares are settled directly and in cash between the passenger and driver at the end of the trip. Rydoza does not collect, store, or have access to any payment card, banking, or financial account information.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information as follows:

• With Drivers: Your name, pickup location, and destination are shared with the driver assigned to your trip, solely to complete the ride.
• Service Providers: We use third-party infrastructure providers to operate the app, including:
  • Google Firebase (authentication, database, and cloud storage of account and trip data)
  • Google Maps Platform / Google Places API (maps, location search, and route calculation)

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and trip data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Rydoza is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You may:

• Access, update, or correct your account information within the app.

• Disable location permissions through your device settings, though this will limit or prevent core app functionality (e.g., ride booking and tracking).

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The App integrates third-party services (Google Maps, Google Places, Firebase) that have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their terms independently.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
